Trigify Is Shutting Down: How to Move Your Social Listening Searches to KWatch.io

Picture the morning of October 23. Your reps open the Slack channel where buying signals usually land, and it's empty. Nobody gets an error. The feed just stops, and for a day or two everyone assumes the market went quiet.

That's what October 23 looks like for any team still running its signals through Trigify.

On September 23, Trigify announced that its team is joining HubSpot and that the standalone platform is being retired. For most customers, access ends at 11:59pm BST on October 22, 2026 (6:59pm Eastern). Trigify says accounts won't be migrated to HubSpot, and that integrations, API access, monitoring, and signal collection all stop at that moment.

I work on KWatch.io, a real-time keyword alert tool for Reddit, Hacker News, X, Linkedin, Facebook, and Youtube, so keep that in mind as you read. This post covers one part of what Trigify did, its keyword listening searches, and how to rebuild them as KWatch alerts. If you mostly used Trigify for something else, I'll say so where it comes up.

What stops on October 22?

Trigify's own notice is short. Your account closes, your saved searches stop running, and anything they fed (a CRM sync, a Clay table, a Zapier or n8n scenario, a Slack alert) stops receiving new rows. Trigify asks customers to export what they want to keep before access ends, using the export options in the app or by emailing their team.

So the first job is an afternoon of copying, before you think about any new tool. Open each saved listening search and write down four things: the platform, the AND terms, the OR terms, and the NOT terms. Note any job title filter on Linkedin searches, too, and list every place the results flowed into.

That list is the real asset. Your team probably spent months tuning that search logic, and it's the part you can't download as a CSV of past results.

What Trigify's searches did, and what we cover

Trigify's help center describes a saved search as a Boolean query with three fields. Every AND term must appear, at least one OR term must appear, and any NOT term rules a post out. It matched keywords case-insensitively and also inside longer words, so "automate" caught "automated." Linkedin searches were capped at 6 keywords in total, and X and Reddit searches at 10.

Searches ran on a schedule rather than continuously. New searches could default to a frequency Trigify calls Bi-Daily, with up to 100 results per run, and each post a search returned used one credit.

KWatch works differently. Each keyword alert watches one platform, and we check for new content every second. You should get the alert within a couple of seconds, or up to about a minute during congestion. There's no per-run cap and no credits, because plans are priced by how many keyword alerts you can keep on each platform.

The sources overlap on Reddit, Hacker News, X, Linkedin, and Youtube. We also cover Facebook posts and public Facebook groups. We don't cover podcasts, Substack, or daily.dev, so if those searches were bringing you leads, you'll need a second tool for them.

There are two more gaps you'll hit on Linkedin. We monitor Linkedin posts, including ones Google doesn't index, but we don't monitor Linkedin comments. And we don't have a job title filter on the author, so we'll show you every matching post and leave the qualifying to you (more on that below).

Rewriting a Boolean search as KWatch alerts

Once you have your list, translation is mostly mechanical. The one thing to get used to is that KWatch has no OR field, so each alternative becomes its own alert.

In Trigify In KWatch
AND terms Comma-separated keywords in one alert (all must appear)
OR terms One alert per alternative
NOT terms Excluded keywords on the alert
Platform per search Platform per alert
Subreddit or author scoping Included or excluded subreddits and users (Reddit, Hacker News, X, Youtube)
Job title filter on Linkedin No equivalent, so qualify authors downstream
Schedule and max results per run Per-second checks, no per-run cap

The row that changes your alert count is OR. Everything else maps one to one.

Take a typical buying-intent search: CRM AND (looking for OR recommend) NOT hiring, on Reddit. In KWatch that becomes two Reddit alerts. The first has the keywords crm, looking for and the second has crm, recommend. Both get hiring as an excluded keyword. If you only cared about a few communities, add them under included subreddits, like sales, smallbusiness, startups.

A couple of small settings are worth a look while you're in there. On Reddit and Hacker News you can choose posts, comments, or both, and you can turn on whole words only if Trigify's partial matching was giving you junk. Trigify's word-inside-a-word matching is why "sell" used to catch "upsell."

One caution on exclusions: our docs say that when you put several comma-separated words in the excluded field, a post is dropped only if all of them appear together. If you want to exclude hiring and job posting separately, test it on a real post first.

How many alerts will you need?

With OR expanded, count your alerts per platform and match the total against our plans. These are the limits on the KWatch pricing page as of October 2026.

Free Essential Business Enterprise
Price $0 $19/mo $79/mo $199/mo
Reddit, Hacker News keyword alerts 2 each 20 each 100 each 500 each
X, Youtube keyword alerts None 2 each 10 each 50 each
Linkedin, Facebook keyword alerts None 1 each 5 each 25 each
Filtering, saved results, AI sentiment No Yes Yes Yes
Slack, API webhooks, MCP No No Yes Yes
Bulk CSV keyword import, team management No No Yes Yes

Linkedin and X have the tightest limits, so that's where you'll feel the OR expansion first. Start there when you count.

Say you ran three Trigify searches on Linkedin, each with two OR terms, plus a handful of Reddit and X searches feeding Clay. That's six Linkedin alerts, which is one more than Business allows.

You could drop the weakest variant, merge two searches that kept returning the same posts, or move to Enterprise. If your Trigify searches fed an integration, Business at $79 is the plan you'll want, because it's the first one with webhooks and Slack. If you have a long keyword list, Business also lets you upload it as a CSV instead of typing it in.

Moving the pipes into Clay, n8n, or Slack

I suspect most of the pain on October 23 won't come from the searches. It'll come from the downstream pipes that go dry. In KWatch you can set a Slack webhook or an API webhook once for the whole account, or per alert, and a per-alert webhook wins if you set both. That's how you send competitor alerts to one channel and buying-intent alerts to a Clay table.

When a keyword matches, we send a POST request with a small JSON body. This is the example from our docs.

{
  "platform": "reddit",
  "query": "Keywords: vllm",
  "datetime": "19 Jan 24 05:52 UTC",
  "link": "https://www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA/comments/19934kd/sglang_new/kijvtk5/",
  "author": "lmzoo",
  "content": "sglang runtime has a different architecture on the higher-level part with vllm.",
  "sentiment": "neutral"
}

The query field tells you which alert fired, so a Clay or n8n step can branch on it. The sentiment field is our AI read of whether the post is positive, negative, or neutral toward your keyword.

This is also where the missing job title filter gets handled. On Linkedin, the author field looks like peter-mehlape (Peter Mehlape). Take the part before the parenthesis, add it to https://www.linkedin.com/in/, and you have a profile URL Clay can enrich with a title and company. Then filter on title inside Clay, the same way Trigify did at search time.

Our Clay templates for sales signals show how to map this payload into a Clay table, and Automate social media monitoring with KWatch.io, Zapier, and n8n covers the no-code routes.

Some teams used Trigify for something we don't do at all. If what you leaned on was watching specific people (a list of prospects, a competitor's founders) and getting told when they post or comment, that's account tracking rather than keyword listening.

Our sister product MultiFollow does that on Linkedin and X. Neither of us will list everyone who engaged with someone else's viral post, so if that audience scraping was your main use, you'll want a tool built for it.

Start before the cutoff

There's one more reason not to wait until the 22nd. KWatch has no archive, so alerts only start from the moment you create them. If you set them up now, you get up to two weeks of running both tools on the same searches, and you can compare what each one catches before Trigify goes dark.

The quickest test is your best-performing Reddit or Hacker News search. Rebuild it on the KWatch free plan, which gives you 2 Reddit and 2 Hacker News keyword alerts by email with no time limit and no card, and check that a real hit lands in your inbox. When it does, move to Business to bring over Linkedin, X, and the webhook that feeds your stack.
